The Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Nasser El-Hain, said today, Thursday, that the progress of the State of Kuwait’s ranking of ten places in the Global Innovation Index for this year is only a result of the efforts made by the government and the reform policies it is taking in support of innovation.
This came in a statement to Kuwait News Agency on the sidelines of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to announce its annual report on the Global Innovation Index for 2022 at the organization’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
Ambassador Al-Hayen added that this progress contributes to economic growth and prosperity, in addition to raising the rank of the State of Kuwait in the reports and indicators of international organizations, especially with its ranking of 62 globally in the Global Innovation Index this year.
“This year’s innovation index report focused on the impact of innovation on productivity and the well-being of societies during the coming decades, and identifies the most innovative economies in the world for this year,” Al-Hayen explained.
He also explained that the index ranks the innovation performance of 132 economies in the world and highlights the strengths and weaknesses of those economies in the field of innovation.
