243 violations of noon time work ban in four days

The head of the Migrant Employment Committee and head of the “The Heat Kills Them” campaign in the Kuwait Society for Human Rights, Mashari Al-Sanad, revealed that 243 violations were recorded within 4 days of the decision banning workers from working at noon and under direct sunlight.

Al-Sanad pointed out that most of the workers observed were construction workers, with a total of 113 violators, followed by 96 delivery workers, 26 cleaners, and 8 road workers.

He stressed that the association’s teams will continue to monitor and follow up violators, indicating that the rate of violations in the first period of the implementation of the decision is considered high, but it will be monitored in the coming days, and the extent of commitment can be measured next month.
