The Deputy Director General for Planning and Projects Affairs and the official spokesperson for the General Administration of Civil Aviation, Eng. Saad Al-Otaibi, confirmed the readiness of civil aviation in all operational sectors for the Eid Al-Fitr holiday during the days. The next nine are in cooperation with all governmental and non-governmental agencies operating at Kuwait International Airport.
Al-Otaibi said that 2,800 flights will be operated during the period from April 28 to May 7, distributed over 1,400 departing flights and 1,400 incoming flights.
Al-Otaibi said that the movement of passengers to and from Kuwait International Airport is expected to reach 352,140 passengers during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, distributed among 207,760 departures and 144,380 arrivals to the country.
Al-Otaibi added that 76 additional flights will be operated during the Eid holiday, carrying 14,750 passengers, during the next nine days.
Al-Otaibi praised the efforts of all government agencies operating at Kuwait International Airport, led by the Ministry of Interior and the General Administration of Customs, as well as the main role of airlines and ground service providers, in addition to the great efforts made by all people in the General Administration of Civil Aviation for the success of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday plan.
