Al-Ajiri Scientific Center: April 2 is the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan

Al-Ajiri Scientific Center announced that the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan this year will be astronomical on Saturday, the second of next April.

The center said in a press statement today, that its astronomical calculations according to the timing and location of the State of Kuwait indicate that the crescent is born on Friday, the first of April, at 9:26 am, and the sun sets on that day at 6:06 pm, and the moon sets on the same day at 21: 06 pm and the moon stays on that day also for 15 minutes after sunset.

He added that with the sunset of the moon on Friday, April 1, 2022, after sunset, the condition for entering the lunar month is fulfilled, and accordingly Saturday, the second of April, becomes the first day of Ramadan for the year 1443 AH and the ninth month of the Hijri year.

He pointed out that calculating the times and the new moons according to international scientific and astronomical standards approved by the State of Kuwait.
