Today, Saturday, the State of Kuwait entered the Guinness Book of Records by raising the largest flag of the country, and installing it on a mountaintop in conjunction with national holidays, according to the Kuwait News Agency.
Head of the Kuwaiti Volunteer Team (KFlag) Fuad Qabazard said that a flag of Kuwait with a size of 2,742 square meters was raised and installed above the highest mountains of the Arab world (Jabal Shams) in the Sultanate of Oman at an altitude of 3,028 meters above sea level.
He added that the world record for raising the largest flag on the world’s mountains is a new classification that was registered in the name of the State of Kuwait in the “Guinness Book” to be a witness to the brotherly bonding with the Sultanate of Oman, which resulted in this success, in conjunction with the celebration of national holidays.
Qabazard stressed that this achievement indicates the determination and determination to perpetuate the name of our dear homeland in this global record and raise the name of the State of Kuwait high in international forums.
Qabazard, in his name and that of the team members, dedicated this achievement to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad and to the Kuwaiti people.
He expressed his sincere thanks to the Omani Royal Court and the official authorities in the Sultanate for their good reception and for facilitating the procedures.
