Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 588 new infections with the emerging coronavirus “Covid-19” in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 417,723.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that 108 cases of recovery were recorded, bringing the total number of people recovered to 41,788 cases, indicating that the percentage of the total number of cases of recovery out of the total number of injuries amounted to 98.6%.
Al-Sanad clarified that no deaths were recorded as a result of infection with the virus, bringing the total number of registered cases to 2,468.
He stated that the number of those receiving medical care in the intensive care departments amounted to four cases, while the total number of cases that were confirmed to be infected and are still receiving the necessary care reached 3467, and the total number of cases in the “Covid-19” wards reached 23 cases.
He added that the number of swabs that were conducted during the same period amounted to 17,338 swabs, bringing the total of examinations to 5984074 examinations, noting that the percentage of infections for the number of these swabs amounted to 3.4%.
