The Director of the Public Relations and Media Department of the General Fire Service, Colonel Muhammad Al-Gharib, said that the Fire Operations Room received a report yesterday evening that a fire had broken out in an apartment located in a building in the Al-Raqi area. The third in the ten-storey building, the building was evacuated, and the fire was put out, which resulted in the injury of an expatriate of the population in a state of suffocation and heat exhaustion. He was rescued by firefighters, and handed over to emergency medical technicians, where he was transferred to the hospital for treatment.

Al-Gharib added that the firefighters at the Al-Bidaa Fire Center were able to put out another fire that broke out in a hotel in the Salmiya area yesterday evening, noting that the hotel was evacuated of guests and put out the fire, which resulted in the injury of two people in a state of suffocation and heat stress, and one of them was treated at the same site of the accident. By a medical emergency technician, while the other was taken to the hospital by a medical emergency.

In a third incident, a female citizen in her eighties was seriously injured as a result of a fire that broke out in her family’s house in Al-Ardiya area yesterday evening. The firefighters who rushed to the place found that a female citizen and two workers were detained on the ground floor of the house due to the fire and the density of smoke, so the detainees were taken out and handed over to technicians Medical emergency, and the citizen was transferred to the hospital in critical condition, pointing out that the firefighters were able to put out the fire, and prevented it from reaching the neighboring houses.
