Two Amiri decrees were issued to withdraw Kuwaiti nationality from two female citizens and those who acquired it with them by dependence, based on Article 4/13 and Article 1/13 of Emiri Decree No. 15 of 1959 in the Kuwaiti Nationality Law and the laws amending it.
On the same level, a decision was issued to withdraw the citizenship certificate from 6 persons who obtained it by incorporation, as well as those who had acquired it with them through dependency, in accordance with Article (21 bis a) of Emiri Decree No. 15 of 1959 in the Nationality Law, which stipulates the withdrawal of citizenship “if It was found that it was given unlawfully based on fraud, false statements, or false testimonies.”
The first paragraph of Article 13 stipulates the withdrawal of citizenship if it was granted “by fraud or based on false statements,” while the fourth paragraph of the same article states that citizenship may be withdrawn “if the higher interest of the state or its external security so requires.”
