Closure of 3 wards for Corona patients in Farwaniya Hospital

In continuation of the indications of the improvement of the epidemiological situation of the Corona virus in the country, the Director of Farwaniya Hospital, Dr. Muhammad Al-Rashidi, announced the closure of 3 wards recently for Covid-19 patients, while 3 other wards remain, indicating that work is underway to close an intensive care unit as a result of the low rate of bed occupancy.

Al-Rashidi pointed out, in a television statement, to the decrease in hospital admission rates for Corona patients, by up to 60% compared to the previous month, noting that in the previous period, the hospital witnessed the admission of 10 patients per day, while it currently receives from 3 to 4 patients per day.

For his part, the head of the medical team to confront Covid 19 at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, Dr. Ahmed Al-Fadhli, that the number of patients currently infected with the virus inside the hospital wards reaches 25, after the numbers ranged between 120 to 130 patients during the past months, indicating that the number of patients in care in the current period is 12 cases, after it was 50 during the previous period.
