The Ministry of Health is racing against time to speed up the pace of vaccinations against the Corona virus, to reach community immunity within a few months, especially since the daily vaccinations recorded a significant increase and touched the 100,000 doses.
A health official confirmed that the ministry is keen to solve any technical problems facing some segments when they register on the electronic vaccination platform, to ensure the epidemic recedes and the daily infection rates and deaths resulting from complications of the disease decrease, and to achieve more openness and detente in separate activities.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Health is also keen on the regular arrival of the scheduled batches of the Pfizer and Oxford vaccines to the country, as well as accelerating the pace of the arrival of the “Johnson & Johnson and Moderna” vaccines, with the aim of vaccinating about 70% of the total population of the country, and returning to life stages. Natural soon, according to the plans of the health authorities.
The official stated that the ministry’s recent inauguration of two vaccination centers in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Al-Tadamon Club aims to expand the scope of the vaccination campaign to include all those registered through the electronic platform, as well as its intention to open other centers in labor accommodation areas.
Commenting on the decrease in the number of infections and deaths in recent days, the health official considered that the continued recording of general positive indicators related to the epidemic, confirms the success of the efforts of health teams that have achieved the desired goals by a large percentage, after a year and a half since the start of the repercussions of the pandemic.
He pointed out that the increase in health awareness among large segments contributed significantly to avoiding infection with the virus, which led to a decline in the daily recorded infection rates, in addition to the fact that the recent increase in vaccination rates played a role in reducing and preventing infections, compared to previous periods.
In addition, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, announced that the ministry is cooperating with the Kuwaiti Husseiniyat Committee and Councils, to vaccinate about 4,000 cadres working in Husseiniyas.
Al-Sanad said in a statement that the vaccination is carried out through the mobile vaccination unit team, in the Husseiniya of Sayed Ali Al-Moussawi in the Bneid Al-Qar area.
