Raed Al-Taher: We expect air ticket prices to decline in August

The controller of air transport for flight operations at Kuwait Airport, Raed Al-Taher, considered that the increase in ticket prices is due to the limited seats on arrival flights to the country, which are set at 3,500 passengers per day, in contrast to the large demand for travel at the present time.

Al-Taher said, in a statement to “Al-Jarida”, that setting the ceiling for the occupancy of flights to 35 percent has led airlines to increase prices to cover the costs of flights, expecting that these prices will decline, with the date for allowing the return of non-Kuwaitis on the first of next August.

He pointed to the remarkable activity of the flights of the current tourist season by Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways, noting that the most prominent routes of Kuwaiti flights are to Geneva, Munich, Malaga and Paris, in addition to London, and the most prominent routes of Jazeera Airways flights are to Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Antalya, Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.
