The General Administration of Civil Aviation announced the new measures that will be implemented at Kuwait International Airport as of Sunday 21/2/2021, based on the instructions of the health authorities to face the repercussions witnessed by the spread of the Covid 19 virus, especially after the emergence of mutated strains of the Corona virus.

In a press statement yesterday, Friday, the Civil Aviation said that all passengers arriving via direct flights from high-risk countries will be required to quarantine a local hotel for a period of (14) days at their own expense by registering on the “Kuwait Traveler” platform.

As for the rest of the passengers coming from other countries, they will be obliged to quarantine a local hotel for a period of (7) days at their own expense, by registering on the “Kuwait Traveler” platform, provided that they complete the quarantine period for another (7) days in home quarantine.

The statement said that he is exempted from institutional detention (Kuwaiti patients seeking treatment abroad – Kuwaiti students studying abroad – minors under 18 and unaccompanied travelers – members of the diplomatic corps – medical staff) provided that they are subjected to home quarantine for a period of 14 days.

The statement stressed that no passenger will be accepted on incoming flights to the State of Kuwait except by registering on the “Kuwait Traveler”   platform
