Informed sources in the Ministry of Works revealed to local Arabic newspaper Al-Rai that the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Dr. Rana Al-Faris, is about to sign a statement of terminating the services of all non-Kuwaiti employees of the ministry, pointing out that the list includes up to 400 employees in a number of different sectors of the ministry, after previously The services of 150 employees were terminated in the first batch.

The sources indicated that the names included in the list were their owners working in administrative and legal positions, in addition to some names whose owners worked in technical professions, noting that Minister Al-Faris intended to terminate the services of all expatriate employees to replace the national elements.

She stated that it was planned to end the services of non-Kuwaiti employees who number in the Ministry of Works and the Public Authority for Roads up to 550 employees in batches, so that the last batch would be completed before the end of the current year, but the Minister decided to terminate the services of all expatriate employees at once.

She sources indicated that the percentage of all non-Kuwaiti employees in the Ministry of Works and the Public Roads Authority does not exceed 5 percent of the total employees of the ministry, pointing out that Al-Fares seeks to train all its affiliates, to replace the national elements to bear responsibility in the coming years.
