The land border crossings between Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are preparing to open their doors in both directions, back and forth, starting today, Tuesday, after being closed for several months due to the repercussions of the emerging Corona virus (Covid 19).
A security source informed “Al-Rai” that preparations are in full swing at the land border crossings, to receive travelers in both directions from Kuwait to the Kingdom and back. The source indicated that the General Administration of Border Ports, in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior, will not allow travelers to enter the country, unless they have an approved PCR certificate proving that they are free from the virus, and that its validity does not exceed 96 hours for those arriving, provided that they are subject to home quarantine for a period of 14 days, and that Departures need to obtain the same certificate in order to be able to leave the country and enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The source expected the departure of many citizens and citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council through the land ports, starting at dawn today, according to the decision taken by the authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, indicating that all workers at the Kuwaiti border ports are ready to return to receive travelers, after the ports were closed for a period of more than 6 Months
