Facebook said yesterday that its users will now be able to watch videos with their friends online using Messenger, allowing them to see their immediate reactions.
The Watch Together feature will allow the user to add up to eight people via video calling, and up to 50 people through the (Messenger Rooms) tool for CCTV communication.

The company launched the tool in July as it looks to pull the rug from the Zoom video communications app, which has become a household name after the surge in demand for using that platform due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Facebook joins the companies scrambling to dominate the stay at home market as millions turn to online platforms for work, social life and study communication amid health concerns about the Covid-19 pandemic.
Netflix has also provided a similar feature called (Netflix Party), which allows multiple users to watch any movie together on one screen.
