Kuwaiti engineer Jinan Al-Shehab won two awards and a gold medal during her participation in the Toronto International Invention Fair in Canada 2020.

Al-Shehab told KUNA yesterday that the exhibition began receiving requests for participation and eliminations last July, and 600 projects from 60 countries were chosen to participate.

She explained that the participants were divided into the jury consisting of 38 international referees in various fields, inventions and projects were presented to the judges, and the inventor must take a result of no less than 89 percent of any gold medal in order to be able to run for the finals and major prizes.

She added that the major prizes are divided into several categories, including the best design award, the best invention, the best visual presentation, in addition to the Canada Special Award and other awards.
