Authorities in Wuhan, China, said they would reopen schools and nurseries in the city on Tuesday. Wuhan is the epicenter of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the city most affected by the Corona virus in China.
On Friday, the local government said that 2,842 educational institutions across the city would resume classes for nearly 1.4 million students when the fall semester begins. Wuhan University will resume classes on Monday. The city stated that it has prepared contingency plans to shift education through the Internet if the risk levels change.
They advised students to wear masks during the coming and going from school, and to avoid public transportation if possible. Schools have been ordered to stockpile disease control kits and conduct training courses to help prepare for new outbreaks. Schools must also impose restrictions on unnecessary gatherings and submit daily reports to health authorities
